The Florida Public Health Association (FPHA) invites all “Champions for Public Health”
to join us at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, July 28 – August 1, 2008 for
the FPHA Annual Educational Conference, and/or one of the excellent pre-conference meetings – Florida
Association of Public Health Nurses, Inc. (FAPHN); Dental Directors Meeting, Medical
Directors Meeting; STD Managers Meeting; and Preventive Service Toolkit Seminar/Workshop (PTKS). Several
hundred public health workers from both public and private agencies will come together
to hear excellent speakers, share best practices, network and visit exhibitors, enabling them to return
to their work areas energized with new ideas.
This
year’s theme, “Florida Public Heath Association: Champions for the Public’s Health“,
looks at the many ways you can make a difference in the lives of Florida’s citizens and visitors.
This year the Program Committee has put together many diverse topics, with over 37 speakers, providing
the most current information and ideas. These will give you more tools to use in
your professional area as you continue to be a “Public Health Champion”. We look forward
to having you join us so together we can “win the race for good health”.
REGISTRATION
For detailed information on
Registration Fees, FPHA Conference Schedule of Events, Conference Agendas, and Online Registration,
use the links below. This year you must register online for the meeting(s) you plan to attend. The online
system will generate your receipt and your registration confirmation. All payments
must be received prior to the meeting. Those who register by July 1 will get a price reduction. Online
registration is open until July 22, 2008. After that date, registration will be taken at the meeting.
Educational meeting reservations must be cancelled by Monday July 14 for a refund,
minus an administrative fee of $25.
Please read carefully the choices of meeting
options and select the one appropriate for you. For example, if you are only coming
to one of the Pre-Conference meeting, you would select “Pre-Conference Meetings” or “FAPHN”,
and under the payment area you will pick the specific meeting you are attending.
If you are attending FPHA and one of those meetings jointly, there are options for those combinations.
